The company SJT s.r.o. Moldava nad Bodvou was established on 4th March 1993 and continues in long-year tradition of engineering and metalurgical production in Moldava nad Bodvou. Its history goes back to 1928 when the company "KOVOLEJÁREŇ - bratia Společníkovci" had been established. In 1950 the owners gave away the company to Okresný podnik Kovosluba Koice. In 1964 next to other products hand operated lever table shears of type NTP 1000/2A were started to produce which after some inovations are still in delivery program. The division in 1973 in terms of the delimitation was affiliated to the national company Východoslovenské strojárne. Since that time production of worm gear boxes was started which after many inovations are still in the wide range of delivered products.
On 1st of July 1990 was estabilished the state-owned company ZS Moldava which was privatized in terms of the privatization in 1993. Our company´s main activities are in the fields of development, production and sale of mechanical gear boxes, mechanical linear drives, sheet metal forming machines (shears and bending machines) and production of grey cast iron, aluminium and bronz castings.
The company employs over 100 employees. Over 60% of the production is directly exported to the following countries, mainly: Czech republic, Hungary, Poland, Italy, Germany, Netherland and Denmark. A smaller percentage to other countries of the world is sold undirectly through different domestic and foreig export organisations. In 2001 the company was ISO 9001:2000 certified by the company DEKRA - ITS Certification Services GmbH Stuttgart.
